2018 Bastille Day Celebrations in the Midwest

Location: Lycée Français de Chicago – 1929 W Wilson Ave (Ravenswood)
Picnic, pétanque, children’s corner, music with DJ Mwelwa, waiters race/course de garçons de café, grand raffle, photo booth… and special participation of the “Tippecanoe Ancient Fife and Drum Corps” who will bring to life the history of the French presence in the Midwest, with their brightly colored uniforms and the sounds of fifes and drums as well as The LaSalle Explorers who recreated the 3,300-mile canoe journey in North America of French explorer René-Robert Cavalier de La Salle. They will bring a canoe and stories of their adventure.
