Marianne Biron

Board member; Director of AFI at Columbus

Born in France to an American mother and a French father, Marianne Biron has been spending time between France and the US since childhood.  She attended the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Lyon 3 University and a Master’s in Urban Development in Developing Countries from Science Po Rennes. Marianne has worked as a foreign affairs officer for the US Department of State in Washington DC and the US Embassy in New Delhi, India; Transport specialist in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; and International relations officer for the University of Brest, France. She also has experience teaching French and English to professionals in Istanbul, Turkey, Paris, France and Washington DC. She currently collaborates with the Surfrider Foundation Europe as a translator and teaches both French and English in the Columbus (IN) area. Marianne has moved to Columbus (IN) in July 2017 and soon after joined AFI and developed a partnership with Yes Cinema.
